LBC: What Do You Believe Is Important To Make A Cohesive Coordinate

Lolita fashion is an ever evolving style with different substyles and trends with enough rules to make a headmistress blush. Okay, so it's not actually that harsh but there are quite a few basic rules within the fashion that actually aides to create unique and cohesive coordinates without that much fuss. Aside from adhering to the rules, I believe there are simple things that make an excellent coord without having to buy the entire set. (Not saying this is bad, there is just more then that.)

♠️Attention And Focus On Details♠️

There are so many intricate details within a garment with Lolita Fashion that you don't want to just focus on one. It's very easy to take features of a printed jsk or op and incorporate it into the rest of the outfit and with solids possibilities abound. Sometimes it's the little things people will focus on that I find I really enjoy in a coord, like the choices of fabrics the use, sometimes choosing to use certain types of cottons with silks or crepes.

❤️Hair And Make~Up❤️

This is another thing I've found super important is hair and make~up. There is the usual bangs and curls or mermaid waves that is very prevalent within the fashion but there are many other hair styles that I find can really pull an outfit together. And make~up, when going out or to a meet,  just polishes off the look and can be equally fun to do. Experimenting with both can really change up the feel of a coord and deriving inspiration from different things, like history, can really bring together a look.

♣️Accessories♣️

These kind of go hand in hand with paying attention to detail but there is a something I feel needs a bit of attention on it's own. Planning accessories needs a balance. Most times you need more and not very often in this fashion do you need less and sometimes it's got to be said that that small adorable spider ring just doesn't fit in with the skulls and bones when it's not even in the print even if you are wearing a creepy themed coord.

There are actually quite a few other things I'd like to add but for this post I'd like to leave it off here. I think many of us could possibly write a book about cohesive coordinates and what makes them so and I'd love to hear what you think does too. (Feel free to leave it in the comments)
