LBC: Create A Spooky/Halloween Themed Coord

It's definitely the most wonderful time of the year! I am living (or dying) for all the fabulous and enchanting themed meets and coords going around. Sadly, I have not been able to participate in much, being bogged down in orders and work but I'm slowly pushing through. This past week for the Lolita Blog Carnival we've rolled out with a few tricks of our own, making spooky/halloween themed coords for a prompt challenge.

It doesn't hurt that I've been participating in #frilloween2019 and have been making a coord a day based on the prompts. I did use the one for this Friday's day 18 prompt of Vampire and re~vamped a coord from this LBC prompt. I could have chosen a ton of different spooky ideas or vampires looks but I really enjoyed this one. Perhaps in the future I will do a project using other historic or cinematic vampires for the spooky month.

I remembered my handkerchief to mimic the portrait better but didn't take a very good photo with it.

I changed out the blouse for that extra poof, though I lost the high collar I'm still happy with it. I changed the aprons out (neither were aprons), headdress, and a few other pieces that I felt also represented the look just as well.

Despite not having fx makeup, and the fact that Ezrebet Bathory was the one doing the biting, I added a little puncture marks to solidify the vampiric trope. It's silly even though the history of Bathory was never a silly story.

Ezrebet Bathory de Ecsed has a truly horrible story behind her that gripped my imagination and attentions as a child (sorry world). Whether you believe the court transcripts from her trial or believe it was all a creation to put down a woman of power, her story is intriguing. A relative of Vlad Tepes (Vlad III Dracula) and also found in the notes of one author who wrote one of the greatest vampire stories of all time, she certainly has a legacy.
